Phsyio

Saw a specialist for an assessment of my concussion recovery because I still have these slight "warm up" headaches about 15 minutes into activity that then go away, or I also have some slight headaches during the day that then seem to get better after activity.

She did a bunch of diagnostic tests including vision (almost all good) and balance (good) and feels that my upper cervical spine is tight and may be causing the headaches. She says that the neck can be affected by the smash I took and the muscles can be affected. She has given me some exercises for neck strength and I will see her again.

Meanwhile, she has given me the green light to be active and thinks the activity is a good thing, especially because it doesn't cause my symptoms to be worse, often makes them better, and will help mobilize my neck.

Maybe worth noting: the little bit of a headache I had today seems to be gone after seeing her, having her move my neck around to diagnose, and going through just one or two reps of the exercises.

Note

Physio exercises for neck. Feeling pretty good after, feeling more "normal" than during the past couple of weeks.
6 PM

Biking (Spin) 1:30:00 [2]

A spin at E2. No intervals or high intensity, just E2 spinning (using perceived intensity).
Felt fine, no headaches or issues.

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [2] 7.5 km (8:00 / km) +265m 6:48 / km
shoes: Hoka Stinson 3

The classic Carbon loop behind our house. Counterclockwise, ran all of the big climb, otherwise kept the pace moderate. A bit of a headache at the start but it got better later in the run and was good after the run. It's encouraging that it gets better with exercise but I'm still going to get this checked out.

Running (Treadmill) 48:00 [1] 4.66 mi (10:18 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Stinson Evo

An easy run (6 mph) on the treadmill while watching TV. Didn't even think about the head until 45 minutes or so when my TV show stopped and I paused my running while I started up another show (was planning to run longer). When I resumed running, it felt bouncy for my head so I stopped. Not sure if I was running smoother before or just didn't notice because of my TV show.
