Montane, Johnny’s, Douglas Fir with Carbon, retracing my Tuesday run and looking for the lost key but didn’t find it. No worries, it wasn’t labelled so I’m just as happy if it can’t be found. The run felt good and it was a nice day.

Schacher Trail on Mount 7, Golden.
A flowy climb with a couple of steeper sections. All of the corners and berms looked great on the climb up, so decided to come back down the same way.
Took a long break at the top to enjoy the view and spot some routes that we've followed in the some Race the Rockies races. Also got to see a paraglider and a hang glider take off.

Up Highline from the dog park. Across to the middle (east)connector and down. Explored a couple of side options. Then rode through town while stopping at a few historic sites: old mining spots, the mine manager's house, the old hospital.

The similarities between ultra runners and toddlers... (frighteningly true)

Met up with Sean and Matt. Rode up Family Guy, then Matt showed us how to get to Shhh, an unofficial trail off of SHAFT. Fun stuff, a few really steep pitches, some big structures or gap jumps that had bypass options. Walked a couple of the steepest pitches but could probably ride them after another time or two down this trail; rode some steep stuff.
Was tired from last night’s hard run, could feel it on the ride up. Might have cleaned one or two more spots if I had more energy.
Gave Matt a shuttle ride up Moose again before heading home. A fun night.

Canmore Trail Culture

Signed up to get my butt kicked by going with the fully caffeinated group.
Montane Traverse all the way to Johnny's trail, down, along Douglas Fir Trail and up Benchlands Ridge. Barely hanging on to the back of the group for the first half, then keeping up for the second half. Good times, breathing hard to the point the chest was hurting.

Then realized that my house key had bounced out of my pocket (but fortunately not my credit card), so I had to go out for food and drinks with folks so that I could kill time until I could get a ride home with Carbon who was guitar jamming.
Woke up in the middle of the night, maybe because of the hard workout, maybe because of the beer, or both.
