Horseshoe Loop with Carbon, starting and finishing with the trail up behind our house.
Really tired, didn’t push hard. Super icy, even the icebugs were on the edge of slipping in the worst spots.

Dirtbags
4 times up the hill at Deadman’s Flats
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Dirtbag interval run; I knew this would be rough. First rep was quite rough. Definitely don’t have all of my speed, but that makes sense considering I’ve mostly been hiking (ski touring) all winter. Second rep was a little better. Was actually faster and felt better on the third and fourth rep, starting to carry some speed while keeping the breathing steady.
So nice to run in shorts and t shirt, but the hands got cold in the shade on the last rep as the sun was getting lower.
Felt quite worked after.
Looking forward to hitting these sessions more regularly once all these ski trips quit interrupting my schedule ;) It will be nice to get my running and high intensity back. It was nice to see some folks I have not seen in quite a while.

Biking (Spin class) 1:45:00 [3]
weight:65.5kg

Warm up including 5 x 1 min fast spin in easy gear (adding a gear each time), 1 min easy.

Twice through “The Chase”, with 10 minutes between the sets of 4 continuous reps:
2x (4x):
2.5 min FTP
1.5 min E2
1 min aiming to drive your average back up to FTP

15 min E2 / cooldown

Legs were tired, didn’t do a good job of hitting targets.
Thought that maybe I just didn’t fight through it enough but was quite tired after.

With Carbon on the short Montane loop behind our house. Lungs are definitely feeling better. Not 100 % clear but getting closer. Barely coughing, whereas I was still coughing during the ski touring on Sunday.

Really nice and warm - ran in thin tights and a light long sleeved shirt, and they were too warm. Some nice patches of dry dirt where it was really fun to feel the speed that comes from being able to push off and focus on accelerating rather than just being stable. You could smell some of the trees warming up. Really sunny and some great views.
