sprint-o race 30:53 [4] *** 3.2 km (9:39 / km)
spiked:28/30c

Running is currently not my preferred mode of exercise. I have tried running a few times after the month of cycling and my muscles have really felt it especially the lower calves (why didn't cycling make these better for running?!?!?), and I am also only running on hard surfaces which I have never really trained on before. Think I'm going to have to just train a few times a week in order to get used to running again and hopefully avoid more embarrassing slow sprint times...

Orienteering was also pretty darn shady. Missed some really important route choices eurgh.

I also want to just point out that I helped some small children at number 17.
Just sayin'...probably cost me the race....

Anwen is probably the only person who will notice

It'll be pretty embarrassing now if she doesn't.
10 AM

cycling warm up/down 3:30:00 [3] 45.46 km (4:37 / km) +429m 4:25 / km

Cycled over to orienteering this morning with an extension towards the city so I could pick up the Yarra earlier in the trail and watch the rowers. Quite a few stops to check the route on my phone and then backtrack to the correct route - all I had to do was follow the yarra trail and then the diamond creek trail, along a river, and I got lost many times. Maybe I should improve my map memory skills...

Nice ride with one hill right at the end, bike is a lot better after the service. Not pushing myself too hard because I want to be able to run later.
4 PM

cycling warm up/down 1:45:00 [3] 28.0 km (3:45 / km) +165m 3:39 / km

ride back, took a shortcut, didn't go wrong. Easy.
