Ride with Kid #1 at the State Patrol trails. It's been a while since I've made it over there. The area burned in 2018 (I think) and I would have never guessed that fires would be a problem for trails in that area. The trails are in very bad shape. The non-native grasses and tumbleweeds have overtaken all of the terrain and there is no longer sage. Many of the trails probably will be lost buried under mounds of tumble weeds. A few of the classics still remain but the area is not what it once was.
