Was trying to do a 3 hr endurance ride, just about 15 minutes from home I was attacked by a dog (a black lab!!!), that ran out of its yard, and across/down the street to me, he bit my hand and pulled me down, the owners were outside so they were helping me with bleeding and such. Called Elina to pick me up and we drove to the hospital. Lots of bleeding, bruising and swelling...doctors were worried I broke my thumb but I didn't! Left hand is pretty ripped up and I have some more minor cuts and bruises on my legs. I seem to have a cursed left hand...not sure what that's about but it's getting kinda old lol. Hospital filed a police report, had to talk to the sheriff, animal control, public health office, blah blah blah. Apparently this dog has been a problem before. At least I got bit instead of one of the neighbor's toddler children. Hopefully something is being done about this dog. Ugh. Please train your dogs to NOT RUN INTO THE STREET AND ATTACK INNOCENT PEOPLE. NOT COOL!!!
