Got dropped on the first lap. Horrible. Legs were not awake and I did not eat enough for breakfast (I can't eat before I race without lots of gagging/throwing up. It's bad).

Warming up for the hill climb.

Finished racing around 10am. Went to Cleversburg for some coffee/ post race food. Then made our way back to the start area and hung around the car/ watched races. Weather was lovely (sunny and mid 70s). Stayed very hydrated and had to pee 5x within the 2 hours before racing so that was good.

South Mountain Hill Climb.

Ended up 5th which I'm happy with. Could see Anna's group for most of it, just over a minute off of them.

It was just an uphill. Not as steep as I thought it would be so that was nice and the last mile or so was downhill/flat.

Sun wasn't blaring by 4 so the temperature was very comfortable. I was also very sugared up. 1 waffle and 1 gu :))))

Easy cool down with Anna and Columbia (Monica). This is so fast because 6 of the miles were straight downhill lol.
