Running warm up/down 14:00 [3]

Took the SAT then drove down to da Bronx for Manhattan Invite! Wasn't really feeling the whole running a race thing after sitting at a desk for 4 hrs but I done it anyway! (I obviously aced my test since my grammar is fantastic :)!!! )
Just a little shakeout once we got there.

Running warm up/down 17:00 [3]

Technical/Drills/PT 8:00 [3]

XC race race 15:44 [5] 2.5 mi (6:18 / mi)

Manhattannnnn inviteeeee! Probably my favorite meet of the year because it so giant and the course is nice and flat(ish).
Ran superdy superdy well as an individual in terms of my time (broke 16 as a senior aye). I also beat the twin! Muahah we ran the last 400 stretch right next to eachother which was cute. People always love seeing twins run together, I heard a lot of comments. I got out farther back than I wanted but I felt really strong after the first mile and did a good job moving up. I ended up being our 2nd girl and came in 18th. Unfortunately we didn't win as a team but we were missing 2 of our top girls so second is still solid. 3 college coaches saw us race so it was a good day.

Note

Also talked to two coaches today who came to visit us at school. They were super cool and now I like the school even more. I guess they did their jobs well. They will also be at Manhattan invite on Saturday and will see our race. No pressure.

Track running warm up/down 7:18 [3] 1.0 mi (7:18 / mi)

Technical/Drills/PT 8:00 [3]

3 PM

Track running intervals 22:00 [4] 4.0 mi (5:30 / mi)

16x400...why?
90 seconds rest in between each.
Not an exact time but I averaged somewhere around 82. My goal was 87 and last year I averaged 85 so not too shabby.
I felt horrible starting off but managed to pick it up and hold the second half. I also chose to run them alone because I hate doing track workouts with people. They get in my way. :) lol
4 PM

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Other (Walking) 13:00 [2]

Walked home. The weather was windy and coolish just as fall should be.

Running 45:52 [3] 6.0 mi (7:39 / mi)

Run to McDonalds and back. We went out really slow and picked it up on the way back. All of our legs were feeling really tired.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

We really had to speed up our warm up since we thought we were running at 4:30 but we ran at 4. Kind of stressful

Technical/Drills/PT 5:00 [3]

4 PM

XC race race 19:27 [5] 3.0 mi (6:29 / mi)

League meet at Bear Mountain. Solid meet by all of us. We won which was expected since there isn't too much competition in our league. We came in 1,3,4,5,6,7 and 9 (for top 7). I came in 7th which put me 6th on the team by 1 or 2 seconds. I felt horrible going out and was behind our pack but picked it up after about 1 mile and really used Anna and Kam.
Good confidence boost day.
Now Championship season can commence. Bring it.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

7 PM

Note

Went to a board meeting where we got awards from last spring track... apparently our girl's team won states as a whole if they combined our scores (which they don't do officially). Pretty cool.

Running 40:00 [3]

Tomorrow we have Leagues so it was a pre meet day. A bit longer than usual and we did 2 mile builds instead of one.
My first one was 6:02... I don't know why or how I did that so fast since I felt so cruddy.
My second mile was 5:55...I have no idea how I ran faster than the first one but I guess that's good.

Orienteering race 1:21:00 [4]

Red x middle.
Yeah that was fun! Haha I almost stopped at number 2 because I couldn't find it for my life. I relocated a solid 5 times and found it eventually.... It was a lot farther to the right than I thought. Also my first 4 controls were super sloppy and I went past 1 and 3 so I had to go back. After those I was ok but I wasn't feeling too motivated since I wasted over half an hour. Oh well, Ya live and you learn.
