(injured)

Did all 3 sets of ball bounces (90 of them) without losing balance. Wow. Great day.

Running 31:45 [3]

Just did an easy run mostly on my own. I was going realllllyyyy slow and it was cold but it didn't hurt!!! (I probably jinxed it for tomorrow's workout) Also taped my ankle again.

Heated, then I did stim for the first time instead of ultrasound...it was weird. It was warmish and it felt like there were strong pins and needles in my leg and my muscle kept contracting hehe, felt kinda good but kinda uncomfortable too, then did my exercises. Yo I bounced that ball for 1 whole set (30 bounces) and didn't lose my balance at all! I'm a pro.

Running 29:00 [3]

it didn't really hurt at all! I just warmed up for 10 minutes and then did 5 pickups on straight roads (longest was 60 seconds, shortest was 20). I pretty much just ran around 1 block the whole time but it worked. Also Brian taped my entire ankle, I'm not sure if that's what helped or something else but yeah. Then I cooled down for 10 minutes. It hurt a tiny bit on cool down and afterwards but not too bad.

Heating, ultrasound, exercises (I'm already a lot better at my balancing/catching exercise).

Technical/Drills/PT 30:00 [3]

Heated, stretched and stuff, did some new exercises with Brian's help, did some ultrasound, then balanced on my left leg and bounced a pill ball off a trampoline. Got pulled out of the meet on Saturday :/ kinda bummed bc I wanted to work on my 800. Probably for the best because even just yesterday hurt. I'll probably be spending excessive(er) amounts of time in the training room this weekend.

Spinning 5:00 [3]

more spinning while the team did warmup drills

Running warm up/down 17:00 [2]

Town loop before the workout, leg felt ok. Definitely better than before.

Track running intervals 54 [3] 0.19 mi (4:44 / mi)

Workout today was supposed to be 2x300, 4x200, 4x100 which I was super excited about because those are all supa fast distances!!! I couldn't get through the whole thing... unfortunately :(

Track running 54 [3] 0.19 mi (4:44 / mi)

Track running 35 [3] 0.12 mi (4:52 / mi)

200. It was a little bit slow but whatever. I tried switching to spikes to see if it would help on the curves but my leg was really hurting so I stopped with those.

Track running 13 [3] 0.06 mi (3:36 / mi)

5 PM

Track running 13 [3] 0.06 mi (3:36 / mi)

skipped the 2s and did a couple 100s. We were somewhat smart and "modified" them so instead of running 100s on the track, which require turning pretty hard, I ran them diagonally across the gym/track. It was fun, but I only did 3 because it was painful.

Track running 13 [3] 0.06 mi (3:36 / mi)

Spinning warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Technical/Drills/PT 15:00 [3]

The trainers said all I can do is my exercises and bike (aka ice and rest)... boo

Note

Disregard what I said about the ski-o thing. Lol There's no snow so it's canceled anyway. Maybe they'll reschedule!
4 PM

Technical/Drills/PT 25:00 [3]
(injured)

Couldn't spin because the silly lax bros were on the bikes. I heated instead.
5 PM

Spinning 40:00 [3]

Tomorrow we have some short sprints as a workout so I think I'm going to try some of that. Today was just maintenance so I took it easy.

Note: our head xc coach (Coach Howard) is "retiring" from coaching this year in order to pursue being an athletic director at SUNY Plattsburgh. We don't know who will be our head coach next season but we still have Curran and the men's coach, Newman. Glad for him but sad to see him go, he's a cool guy.

Also: Not planning on going no to the ski-o race Sunday for a couple reasons.
1)We have a meet Saturday and we won't get back until very late. (Last time we got back at 1am)
2) starts are at 10am
3) We have to drive 2 hours meaning we would get 6 hours of sleep tops...idk that's not enough for me
4) Thre's no snow and I don't want to demolish my skate skis
5) It would only be one day of racing, not really worth it.
6) Oh and I'm injured and I'm pretty sure I need that muscle to skate so... :/
Too bad I was excited for it.
