(sick)

Woke up at 6 with a very upset stomach. Bummer because I was going to do some back country skiing with some people from the ski club. Ended up sleeping until 12:30 which is not usual for me. Feeling a bit less nauseous but my stomach is just not happy.

Core/Hips/Strength 25:00 [3]

Got planning to go for a run at 9. It was pouring rain of course, not snowing. Winter doesn't exist apparently.

Running 23:00 [3]

Short because I have too much stuff to do but at a good pace. Taking a rest day from core and hips. Haven't been spinning because Anna and I forgot both of our bikes at home lol.

Running 43:00 [3]

I was worried about the snow but by the time I got out it was steady but light. Glad it's not raining like it has been for the past 3 months here.

Interesting (at least to me) note:

I am starting my job at the spacial cognition lab at school which is exciting.
We will mostly be studying the understanding of space, memory of surroundings, development of spacial awareness, that kind of stuff. Along with this comes the understanding of direction and navigation... so pretty much orienteering.

I spoke to my professor/ boss yesterday and explained what orienteering is and how navigation, direction and memory are all involved (as well as almost all other cognitive functions). I also mentioned that Anna works with the gis peeps making maps. Soooo my job for next week is to find some studies on orienteering and navigation and think of how we could create some tests surrounding those ideas (If anyone knows of any studies send them my way).

May I also mention that we have a very fancy pancy pair of virtual reality goggles. I was also told, by my good friend Will, about the lovely program called Virtual-O. It would be super amazing if we could incorporate that into our lab. Having connections with the gis lab may also come in handy... because they make maps.

Anyways I'm going to run all of this by my professor and maybe (hopefully) we can come up with some cool tests to run.

If you read this far in my post, go you!
