Started later than we should have again, but not as late as yesterday. Rode down to Alexandria and across the bridge to Fort Washington. Bridge was very busy on the way out but on the way back in it was hot so there were less people out. Another really hot day. Exhausted by the end even though we weren't going super fast.

Alright, yesterday I didn't run because my legs were sooo sore from my run the other day. Not running for like 6 months does that.

Today we were stupid and lazy and didn't get out until 11. Bad idea. Very hot, high of 96 today. Legs felt sore at the beginning but felt good after around 10 miles. 5ish miles from home I had an issue, possiblity a little mini heat stroke. Had to pull over and sit on the side of the road. I felt like I was going to pass out which happens a lot when I exercise hard, but we weren't going that hard. I was also extremely confused and not sure what was happening + feeling very weak. HR was all over the place, dropped when I did some breathing exercises but picked right back up to 120-140 while just sitting down. Sat on the side for a few min. Poured water over my body and tried to cool off and ate some more snacks. Kinda worried there for a bit and close to calling an ambulance. A nice couple stopped to check if I was doing ok. Felt better by then. Rolled home at a relaxed pace, with Will's help pushing me. Average pace was pretty fast.

Can't ride this late again. Really bad idea and completely our fault.

Testing out the knee. It felt fine, yay! The blisters, on the other hand, are relentless. My monkey toes do not appreciate it. Temps were much nicer than in the afternoon although the route to the Lincoln Mem. is very sunny so I did get hot and ran in a sports bra. Tomorrow I'll try to get out earlier.

Terrible headache today. Only drank an iced coffee and a glass of almond milk, not enough especially in this heat. Work is stressful. Big project due tomorrow afternoon that I was given data for today @ 3:30... and I have to demo it to a director. RIP.

Very weird ride. Woke up at 6:15 hoping to be out the door by 7. I was feeling terrible. Sleepy tired and my body just felt exhausted. Kinda worried I was sick since we got plenty of sleep and our ride yesterday wasn't that hard. Ate breakfast and sat around debating weather to ride or not. Will suggested we go on a short walk and see how I feel after that. It definitely helped and I was able to rally and get ready to ride. We did the Rock Creek to Beach Drive loop and I was feeling soooooo good. HR was pretty high (average 170) but I was recovering really fast and able to push even up the hills and I didn't even eat any sugar during our ride. I was even pulling Will for some of it! He was on his cx bike but still. No idea why I felt so good. Really odd.

Lots and lots of cyclists out today. Cloudy so it wasn't too hot but it was very humid.
