Running warm up/down 23:42 [2] 4.77 km (4:58 / km) +71m 4:38 / km
shoes: inov8 Road 233

Running race (Club Handicap league) 38:42 [5] 10.05 km (3:51 / km) +91m 3:41 / km
shoes: inov8 Road 233

felt like pushing this a bit, so attacked the uphill on the outward 5 k and turned around just outside 20mins, 1 minute quicker than last time, then there was the head wind...
The return 5k was also faster, but mainly due to pushing on the last km.
1 PM

Running warm up/down 14:48 [2] 2.35 km (6:17 / km) +1m 6:16 / km
shoes: Brooks Pure Grit

Orienteering race 22:31 [4] 4.57 km (4:55 / km) +1m 4:55 / km
shoes: Brooks Pure Grit

Contact lens worked well though I didn't go with as high a magnification as I was suggesting before. Was able to drive with them in which is great. I will try stronger for UCD.
Not very fluent with plenty minor time loses apart from 22 where I dropped about 20 secs.
Legs a little heavy after the 10k earlier.

Running warm up/down 4:14 [2] 0.59 km (7:10 / km)
shoes: Brooks Pure Grit

6 PM

Running warm up/down 10:17 [2] 1.71 km (6:01 / km) +8m 5:53 / km
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas4

Tried to get warm enough to take coat off

Orienteering race (Night O Rockbrook) 26:16 [3] 4.39 km (5:59 / km) +85m 5:28 / km
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas4

Head torch was flawless!
Only big issue was 19, relocated off 10. Must have dropped more than a minute. Hills were ok despite all the previous runs today. Was waking units for latter part and tried really hard to wake the 2nd last one...

Running 25:45 [2] 2.28 km (11:17 / km) +42m 10:20 / km
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas4

Following Zoë, She dropped a few minutes at 10 and she had passed within 2 metres of the kite twice! So tempted to do a loud cough at the time...

Note

I think head torch is fixed. Here's hoping there's no outages that have plagued me the previous 2 events, though Rockbrook isn't the worst place for that to happen
3 PM

Cycling 52:39 [2] 17.09 km (3:05 / km)

Into Wicklow, 3 stops. Didn't turn off GPS for first 2 stops. i've taken off 10 minutes for the stops. Got caught in the passing cold front, torrential downpour!

Collected stronger contact lens. Will experiment during the sprint series to find best combination for IOC & JK. Strong combination for Trinity tomorrow. Certainly will be able to read the map, but can I read the ground and steps as well?
2nd stop Butter for home bake yum yum, although now that cow is milking again, will be making our own butter.
3rd stop to get wire connecters as my head torch seemed to have a break in the wire. Haven't fixed it yet so may still need to use Zoe's head torch for Night O tomorrow.

Running 57:20 [2] 10.06 km (5:42 / km) +257m 5:03 / km
shoes: Icebug Anima3

After a couple days of core based work culminating with the circuits, a recovery run was the order.
More felling on Carrick...

Circuits 1:00:00 [3]

My first circuits for 30 or so years!, probably a bad week to do so, because the reason for no run the past 3 days is due to work which is core related and reminding me of muscles that I don't usually use.

Zoë enjoyed them so will be back
