Tired legs, so really needed to be kind to myself, so had lots of impromptu meetings with orienteers and GlenAC members out on course. Thanks for making it such an enjoyable 'race'

Great planning Caoimhe, well done. In fact so good I did 6 controls twice adding 4km,20 minutes to course. I skipped first butterfly and realised just after 18 so went back and recommenced course at no. 9. Ran well till long leg to 20 where I tired with the extra distance.
Dropped about a minute at 6 and then obviously at 9. The rest I think quite tidy. Brother beat me, but he's not happy that it was only by 3 minutes Considering the 20 minutes I added on.

Orienteering race 26:50 [2] 4.71 km (5:42 / km) +12m 5:38 / km
shoes: inov8 Road 233

Jogged around which is unusual for me, but there were a number of reasons.
I volunteered for Wicklow Way race and manned first check point and got ZERO sleep last night.
My legs were tired from yesterday's run
I was selectively handicapped by being given one of the spare maps and the print quality was poor at best. This hampered me significantly. Thought it was same for everyone until I saw maps everyone else had.
First time I have knowingly reached through a forbidden to cross feature. I was in right place but control was wrong!

Not complaining, free event, fun course. Tivon also did long and enjoyed working his way round the 25 controls, And he also knew that 10 was wrong. Considering that he doesn't usually use symbol descriptions, this is a good step forward
