Note

Glendasan, seems we got away with the event. Courses were fairly spot on, certainly issues with a couple controls, where many lost time but no specific complaints.
All the courses had to be redone from scratch with 2 weeks to go due to a clash with a running event that was routed through the original competition area , including the finish. My main role as controller was helping sort out new courses , in particular TD 2 to 4 courses. The TD 5 courses were rehashed using existing control sites.

Note

If I wasn't heading to Glendasan, I could have joined Sonia for her 100th Parkrun at Cabinteely or Fionnuala at the inaugural Avondale Parkrun

Hiking 4:18:50 [1] 13.35 km (19:23 / km) +620m 15:44 / km
ahr:103 max:175 shoes: Icebug Spirit

Checking control sites, got drafted in late as controller so had not visited many of the control sites. Spent a long time on some of them and finished feeling unhappy about a few of them.
also out in hail/snow shower while on Camaderry and it got cold and miserable with slush on ground for a while. Hands mostly thawed by time I finished.

First run in 11 days and its a 5k race. Net downhill of about 30m, so a PB course if in PB shape, so time not as good as it looks. A good run considering the past week and the recent weeks training which has been a bit light.

Running warm up/down 5:25 [2] 0.86 km (6:20 / km) +12m 5:56 / km
