Yesterday, I got 2 wasp stings, one on top of left foot and the other on left calf.

This dominated today. I was contemplating retiring for much of this run, especially when I missed 6 and there was a big climb to relocate, but I went for it, got it and although my head wasn't into it at all, I was probably always going to finish from then on.

My left foot is swollen and a tingling sensation from the foot to below the knee. The ankle was sore as well.

Of concern was my inability to read the map on the run. The map is detailed and busy and I just could not discern detail even mixing up roads and walls. I had a different make of contact lens in today, which are the most comfortable I have ever worn, but I may try a stronger pair this Sunday. This lack of flow was frustrating.

Bottom line, I didn't enjoy it.

Damn, got 2 wasp stings on left leg/foot late in day after disturbing a nest in the garden. Typically it takes me 5 days to put them behind me.

Note

First rest day in over 2 months.
Pippi (Zoƫ's dog) had an eye issue. I brought her into Vet and they kept her to to have a look and I was awaiting a call to collect her ...which never happened ..

So I could have got a run in, but, I also think my body will appreciate a day off.

Eventually late afternoon i called the vet and collected Pippi.
