Jog round the course

Running (BUCS XC A Race) 40:00 [3] 10.4 km (3:51 / km) +100m 3:40 / km

Warm-up: Not much
Lap 1: Fairly relexaed start where I was running. Fell over on the cambered bit before the first down hill. Was maybe a little concerned about the distance. Can't really remember much else but all the Bristol guys were close together.
Lap 2: Slower. Slipped again in the same place. Past Jonny.
Lap 3: Looked up early on and saw that Kit and James were not ever so far ahead despite me backing off the previous lap. Started getting going and found and past Felix. Was gaining (slowly) on James and Kit but then Kit seemed to get going too. Thought I'd over done it so slowed down on the plataux bit then felt a bit worse at the start/finish bend. Luckily Felix came back past so I got a bit of motivation.
Lap 4: Tucked behind him but then slipped for a third time in the same place and then again on the downhill. Did get going again at a faster pace and caught Felix and James at the far end but not enough for Kit.

Would have liked to have been faster generally but tactically it went really well apart from the falls. Could do with some different spikes I think.

Short jog with Kit and Ben. Nice and steady down the verge of a road. Found a pathetic hill to run up then slipped and got really muddy on the way down.

Down behind the hospital to Stokes Croft for a wiggly loop then back up Kingsdown to home.

1hr week followed by 10hr week, oops. Leg muscles feel dead.

Running (Bristol & West) 22:00 [3] 7.0 km (3:09 / km)

A damn good session. Pleased. So much better than Thursday.
1m, 2m, 3m, 4m, and back down off 60-90s rest followed by 6*20s strides.
Not anywhere near Owain but got stuck in with Kit. And got an okay distance past the startline on the 3s and the 2s considering the mud. Gradually got faster on the strides to push alongside O. In the BUCS A team.

Running (UBOC Monday Night Pub Run) 45:00 [3]

Up the Downs, round Henleaze road, a new entrance to Redland Park then past the Girls' school to RGP and then a wiggle back to the Clyde Arms. Nice place but no food.
