Orienteering race (Birchen Edge DVO) 1:02:15 [4] 9.5 km (6:33 / km) +155m 6:04 / km

Seemed to be lots of events on 90 mins away and this seemed like the best. Good hour of nice peak moorland/wood. Got tired on the way to 18 but it was uphill and tussocky with hail blown by a strong headwind, apart from that bit I felt pretty good. Some mistakes from not looking at the map enough.

Trying to blow the cobwebs out, they didn't budge.

Cross Country race (B'ham League Lilleshall) 34:32 [3] 9.5 km (3:38 / km) +130m 3:24 / km

Given I was feeling slow I held back well for the first two-and-a-bit laps trying not to go beyond what felt like a jog. Started running on lap three (of four) and took places all the way until the final climb where I couldn't go any faster as it got towards the finish. Managed to just squeeze into the Rugby & Northampton scoring team. 133rd.
