Massive cold, Willy said I looked terrible :'-( Why did I get a cold and work get so hectic in the last nice week of the year? Really wanted to take the end of this week off.

Paddleboard Orienteering race (River Ouse Canoe-O) 53:00 [4] 4.7 km (11:17 / km)

Had a downstream control first, no. 17 - stayed in the pack (getting a little boxed in) before trying not to get dropped by solo-canoe lady. From there zig-zagged across the river picking up points. The group had got a little gap on me at the turnaround so the upstream part was all about catching up. I tried remembering codes to reduce the number of paddling-pauses I needed to do to write them down which helped me ditch solo-canoe lady. Overtook the EBOR couple between the start/finish and the upstream turn and got level with the triple-canoe at the turn. We were pretty close for a while until a boat passed from behind and I got knocked-off by its wake so took a nice cooling dip in the river as I was pretty sweaty by that point. Dug deep to catch-up but they were just too strong. Got beaten by about three boats in 30s which was a bit annoying.
