Why it's taken 11 months for me to run here I don't know. Good woods. Apart from where I twatted my toe on a root and now don't have a happy nail. Still not settled.

Not feeling great...

Cross Country race (Birmingham League Stoke) 35:41 [3]

Set-off comfortable, remained comfortable for the first lap hoping I would feel less bloated. An Aldridge guy was going a nice pace on the 2nd lap so I followed him for a bit but generally maintained my position. Third lap decided I wanted to catch-up with a curly-haired Halesowen guy who I did about a third of the way round. Half-way a Birmingham Uni guy was approaching fast from behind and putting some effort in. Decided I could keep with him but actually kept ahead of him taking more places including Adnan. From there it still seemed possible to get some more so kept pushing on with a few chasing from behind including Adnan who I held off in a sprint finish for 87th.

Need to do a lot more XC to get me back fit I think. Out of practice at pushing hard, should be much higher.
