Orienteering 41:23
It was all going so well. I managed 3 o events in a row and I was enjoying jogging around Blarney Castle. Then I went down a steep depression and the ground went from under me and my leg went straight onto a branch :-( Positives: it could have been much worse, nothing vital hit, I was able to get myself slowly out of the hole and up onto a turning circle, two women were there to help, I had some concrete slabs to sit on rather than muddy puddles, John ODonovan came on scene soon after one of the ladies went for help and helped me strap my leg to slow the bleeding, he then took off like a bullet and arrived back with none other than Lord Charles to drive me to the gate, there was a nurse on site who saw me get tossed out of the car and left to hobble to the download (Lord Charles was not willing to help and kept trying to get me out of the car as he was on the way to the airport!), my folks were both there and almost at the finish when I got there, nurse played a blinder and dealt with the nasty stuff and packed my leg to stop the bleeding while her husband called the ambulance. So all in all, I was really lucky and everyone helped so much.
Painful few days ahead :-(
