Running 1:22:01 [3] 15.77 km (5:12 / km) +26m 5:09 / km
ahr:148 max:183 shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 4

Short d'long run to end d'load week. Felt pretty snatchedy to start but AMRAPed some km's and loosened up nicely.

I'll be entering my final three weeks of proper training tomorrow although some decent runs in the taper phase are definitely on the table. Able to move pretty well on occasion but still have to mind the left calf injury which, aside from general endurance and fitness, is my main concern in the git r done department.

Well shit. That was nice. Felt a lot better and looser post massage. I guess I'll have to keep that up. Could have just been a decent day but I don't think so. Felt different.

Hit the first k faster than normal and feeling fine so decided to run three harderish. Then took two easy and decided to hammer one more just to see if I could.

12:14 for the 3 k.
3:39 for the 1k.

This I can work with.

So I'm not very good at translating instructions into movements. In ample evidence tonight when I just got mentally blocked on a pretty simple manoeuvre. Ridiculous. I'm sure they were laughing with me....

Note

Has a massage today for the first time in years. A different approach- more aggressive. Dug into some messed up bits and I felt pretty good after. Hopefully it helps me get some movement and speed back.
