Running 1:51:29 [3] 17.89 km (6:14 / km) +343m 5:41 / km
ahr:153 max:180 shoes: Merrell Agility Peak Trail

BSMT after a frustrating week of pain, ice, inuprofen, rest, swearing and really not feeling any better despite it all. Leg sore throughout.

Chicago plan is to try to run 20 in an hour and a half and reassess. Halfway mark is pretty close to the hotel. If I have no real prospect of finishing well I may quit and see about running Hamilton three weeks later. Plan could change.

Not walking well today. Ice, ibuprofen, rest and curse words are the plan for repairs.

Running 32:44 [3] 6.01 km (5:27 / km)
ahr:136 max:149 shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 4

The prologue. Makes it Sound like something interesting came after. It didn't.

Running 30:00 [3] 5.99 km (5:01 / km) +14m 4:57 / km
ahr:164 max:183 shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 4

2/1x10 intervals. Got 6 of 10 in the 3:50 zone but had several that were fairly far off the mark, if 3:50 was the mark. I mucked one up by stopping early convinced I'd missed hearing the watch alert, another suffered from my inability to make a fast 180, another where I got stuck at a traffic light and the last one where I thought I was moving well but I guess I was just gassed. At no point did my left leg feel good or even decent.

Running 20:01 [3] 3.66 km (5:28 / km) +16m 5:21 / km
ahr:146 max:154 shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 4

Home again, home again, jiggidy jog.

Strength -DNA 1:00:00 [3]

After a short walk (no endurance or interest from my youngest much to my chagrin) in the dv followed by dough sundaes from the horn of plenty in Dundas. Cookie dough plus ice cream. Also, related, I negotiated a compounding contract with aforementioned human whereby she agrees not to whine for 24 hours and I pay money that then doubles each day thereafter. Till Friday. Then we re-evaluate. I'm a great parent and any of you would be lucky to have me.

Was able to let Cooper run free a bit but he was not too responsive when I tested out bringing him back. And he forgot how to sit for treats as well. The valley is just too exciting. Work in progress.
