X-Country Training (Nanaimo Shoreline) 1:30:00 [3]12 km (7:30 / km) +20m 7:26 / km
shoes: Brooks GTS
Ran mostly on beach rocks from downtown to Neck Point. It was a nice workout for ankle muscles, but the tide was coming in and I had to go to the road a couple of times.

X-Country Training (Newcastle Island, Nanaimo) 40:00 [4]8 km (5:00 / km) +40m 4:53 / km
shoes: Brooks GTS
Brochure said it was 7.5Km circumference around the island, but it wasn't clear which trails those were. I ran with Xavier (sp?) from Spain ...he just happened to be jogging by when I was about to start and when I blasted past him he decided to use me for pacing. We shook hands about 2 Km into the run and then continued to route find and run hard. He killed me at the end, but I was good for 6Km of it. Nice place to run as it is 90% in the shade of massive trees.

189 boozeless days ...tougher to do while on holidays!

X-Country Training (Cottle Lake, Nanaimo) 1:30:00 [2]12 km (7:30 / km) +150m 7:04 / km
shoes: Brooks GTS
Ran from Guy's house on N side of Discovery Bay to Rock City and into the undeveloped Cottle Lake park. It was really cool in there, then I found some other machete groomed trails coming back home that were spooky and awesome on some undeveloped land.
