Note
(sick)

went to the doctor's today (have got another day off school), and he says he thinks I have HOOPING COUGH! I'm having a chest X-RAY tomorrow (which is really exciting if you forget about why) and I am banned from school and jogging and anything strenuous until at least next weekend. he's given me a prescription of antibiotics to have twice daily, but i don't think i'll be going back to school or training for the rest of this week :(

Event race (Midland champs) 1:04:31 [5] 8.65 km (7:28 / km) +89m 7:06 / km
(sick) shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

coughing all the way round and I was really wishing I hadn't bothered going down. According to the splits, I was leading the first two controls and then my lead slowly dissipated as the race carried on. I found it really hard to run because my whole body was sore and even though the navigation was mainly good, I struggled to tell the difference between the stupid "dead" and "alive" oak trees. the only one I knew for sure, was Major Oak, and that was nearly at the end anyway.
Everyone was commenting on how nice and runnable it was, and I can't help feeling that if I didn't have this stupid cough thing then I could have won. I think I might have got something serious, so we're going to the doctor's tomorrow, but I hope it's not too bad! hopefully I'll be better tomorrow or Tuesday, and I can start training again :)

I have decided to go down to Nottingham after all, 'cause I feel a bit better and I can usually bounce back really quickly after a cold so I could be okay tomorrow :)

still off school, not much better today so I dunno if I'll be going to Midland champs. All this seems to have escalated rather quickly, I wonder if it had something to do with the jabs?

had today off school, and probably tomorrow too as i couldn't move out of bed this morning. my legs are really achy, and i seem to be coughing a lot with a really sore throat. stomach hurts too because of so much coughing, and apparently i was coughing all last night in my sleep, most persistently.

Gym (Circuits) 1:00:00 [5]

two lots of circuits, one lot for 20 minutes (twister) and one for 60 minutes (actual hard work-out stuff) trying to get over the embarrassment of trying!
5 PM

Run (mit einem Natalia) 21:34 [3] 4.78 km (4:31 / km) +4m 4:30 / km

down Fish Wife lane as I had jabs today and have since then contracted a cold and really sore throat. I think I may also have pulled a muscle in the upper part of my thigh as it hurts lots when I walk/sit/lie down :( PRobably will only do S+C on Friday as I don't want to be tired before my marathon on Sunday (and we're travelling down on Saturday)
