Legs didn't feel as bad as the last time I tried doing it as an aquathlon but I wasn't racing against anyone unlike last time. Tried to push right to the end. Shame hr data is all over the place as hard to tell. Measured it 200m longer as well so hard to compare time.
Strava splits tell the story of got the lead then cruised until a sprint finish:

I've decided to enter myself in a local charity triathlon tomorrow. As i have now fitted my bike with cleats i thought it would be a good idea to ride on them for the first time. They say it's not if but when you fall over with cleats and with me i didn't last long, falling over straight away in the middle of the road trying to get my second shoe clipped in. After practicing by the wall I finally got myself going.

The bike leg tomorrow is a lap of Overbury Hill. I guessed it would be clockwise but after running into the organiser on the lap I found out it was anti-clockwise but oh well. Hopefully it will stay dry (unlikely) and many will turn up and raise lots of money for charity
