Newcastle Urban - MO 6.3km

Went off at a slow jog and was able to get to the end without much walking at all - I must be on the mend.

Really, really good course. Much better, trickier than I was expecting and visiting parts i never knew existed (Even though I lived in this city for three years).

As with all recent ranking events I've dsq myself but it turned out I already did this at control 14. I read control description as Wall west side and and there was a control there (so i didn't check the code). It turns out that i misread the code and it was hedge west side (directly on the other side of the wall). Spot the difference Richard!

Swimming (Pool) 29:00 [2]

Up in Newcastle for the weekend. Was delighted that my triathlete friends were planning a swimming session this morning so went with them (expecting to be trailing in their wake)

3 x 20 lengths plus WU/WD

Wasn't too bad at all and they gave me a Garmin Swim that they don't need so I can log my swims properly and see splits

Arrived late so only managed 50 or 52. Had no energy even only after 30. Maybe that was due to having a pizza last night instead of pasta but not sure.
