Blodslitet 2016 at Krakeroy - Mens Open (probably the most competitive mens open field i've ever been in)

Obviously I would have preferred to do the elite course but given it was 24km and i'm not fit yet, the 8km open was my only option.

I'm not gonna lie, i did even less navigating today than i did at Jukola (which was very little as well). Jogged round and was stuck in a train from start to finish.

Travelling to Halden

Visiting Mark. Rather than taking part at the Halden club night in the dark, We did a session in the light a few hours before and then joined them for supper once they've run.

I did a loop of the "contour only" course that they set for 16 year old girls. Not very fast but not too shabby.

Made a hash halfway towards #2 getting confused with which hill was which. After 9 I briefly contemplated going to 10 before bailing and heading to the finish via 20

Took it easy for 15 mins as usual but then 3 really fast swimmers decided to all arrive at the same time and the next 15 mins was just doing short faster intervals to stay at their pace

Shoulder problem has pretty much gone now. I still dare not run though as i can feel my leg is not strong enough

Didn't feel very coordinated this morning. Did 750m easy but when i tried to pick up the pace legs just couldn't work with arms
