Brighton City race 2016 - Mens Open 6.5km

Still content with just jogging round, i made sure i started a few rows back in the mass start and was still with the masses until the end the Preston Park section (17 mins in). After that I started to grow in confidence that my leg wasn't going to break and picked up the pace a little. I would have been happy to cruise to the finish like this until i saw Nick Jarvis just ahead of me near the end and my competitive side got the better of me and i went to into race mode in the narrow alleys for the final few minutes in order to beat him.

Hopefully this draws a line under a disastrous 2016 and 2017 will have much more running involved
