Early morning run with Simpy (and Goose) in Glen Major Forest. Tons of glare ice everywhere (I would say at least 60% coverage!), but the sun was rising and the weather was absolutely beautiful. We decided that: spikecross < screwcross < microspikes.

While it was cool outside, I overdressed for the run and was quite warm (except my hands!). Snow was falling but not staying on the ground. Tried out my new road shoes and they were great.

Really tried to push the comfort zone on this one. Amazing what fuel and a late-afternoon training time does for energy level compared to first thing in the AM on an empty stomach. Shirt was soaked by the end. 9 mins on and 1 min recovery x6.
