statiinary bike at gym, just to get legs moving and less stiff.
After bike, did 30 min of foam rolling and stretching...made a good difference.

Orienteering 5:34:47 [3] 27.7 km (12:05 / km)

I had such a fun time on this race with my teammates...and was so grateful it was postponed until this weekend! Last weekend would have been much tougher to push through the cold/wet conditions. Escondido had great navigation, and got us to the finish line in a place we can be proud of. Good thing he didn't listen to me when I kept telling him every time I spotted a flag in the blast section :).

Haven't done any trail running since December, so I could definitely feel myself significantly slower but was happy that I could keep up for the most part. Can't wait to get to doing more trail running now that the weather is somewhat cooperating. Also really noticed a difference in the weight of my pack, I haven't been carrying much lately - so I should increase that. Right leg is a bit tight today (day after race) but can work out in the next day or so.

Really looking forward to the STT with these guys in a few weeks.

Weights/Resistance Training 45:00 [3]

Dynamic warm up and then 2 sets of legs with escondido and then did some core work and stretching afterwards. Felt pretty good, but balance was really off this time around.

Yoga 20:00 [3]

Unfortunately last night's planned run with my brother didn't pan out, he favoured more of a fast paced walk when I showed up so that's what we did. Was still nice to visit but I was really bummed about no run as I was looking forward to that all day. No time afterwards to fit one in - errands to run, etc.
Tough time getting up this morning so after snoozing a while, did some yoga - similar to Tuesday's session. Legs are feeling pretty good again.

Running 30:27 [3] 6.0 km (5:05 / km)
shoes: Saucony Guide 6

One great way to make you run faster is to try to outrun a threatening thunder storm. Had planned to do a tempo run tonight anyways and this was the perfect way to keep myself moving! Ran from home, top loop around high park and back. Tried to get time at 30min or under but the last little hill slowed me down.
Overall really happy with my run.

Yoga 45:00 [3]

Last night wasn't able to fit anything in - too busy with moving prep and other housework.
So this morning, yoga at home - some flows, and then focus on hips, and glutes. Felt good and definitely not as sore as I have been lately. Hate to be scaling back so much right now but need to not be injured for races. This has turned out to be a really long taper!

Weights/Resistance Training 45:00 [3]

What a beautiful evening, had to take advantage of the sunshine so did weights of course! I already had scheduled weights for myself so kept to the plan although would rather have gone for a run or bike outside.
30 mins on legs - increased weight and felt pretty good. 25lbs in each arm for step ups on box and also for 1 legged dead lifts.
15 mins on arms and core - wasn't able to increase weight.
Really looking forward to a race finally this weekend to see how my training has been working for me. I know I haven't done all that I've planned but am happy with my progress, I feel it's been consistent this year which is better than the past few years.
