Stopped race around half-way around the EUOC Holyrood Park race due to shins hurting a lot - I had borrowed my dad's shoes and I don't think they fit very well - but it was the long road leg I took from 2 to 3 that really killed the shins - hard plastic shoes on tarmac and I was pushing the pace for that leg.
