Orienteering (City Race) 1:29:31 [4] **** 11.2 km (8:00 / km)
29c shoes: Adidas Adistar Salvations

32nd Venice Street Race - running Men's Elite. Click the little globe above to see my route. The course was rated at 11.2km, but actual distance run was well above this (17.8km according to my GPS). No significant mistakes (the course didn't feel as technical as my MA course in 2007, except for the long legs, of which there were four) and the crowds were OK until near the end, as I had had an early start.

Cool, clear and dry weather - very pleasant for running in. Finished 51st out of around 150 - a few seconds in front of Dan and Brooner. It is amazing that, after a 90 minute race, running almost the distance of a half-marathon, we end up finishing so close together.
