Fatty Frost Cross - Hardwood

warm up/down (fatbike on slushy snow) 20:00 [2]

Great day for racing today!! And also the worst day for bike racing on snow...got a quick warm up in on my borrowed Salsa Mukluk - too fun!

Cycling - MTB race (fatbike) 2:10:00 [5]

I am giving this a 5 as my heart rate nevr dipped below 176 for the ENTIRE time! This was a sufferfest of a race, but soooo much fun. The track had turned to slush very quickly, as the race didnt start until 1:00, and it was 7-8 degrees out - made for VERY tough riding, really hard/impossible climbing, and serious surfing on the down hills - did a really good share of running in the slippy stuff - probably half. All in all, amazing race for (apparently) Canada's first Fatbike race! We had about 28 riders, only 3 women, some solo, some in relay duos - and I think, we all had a blast!! Lost count of my faceplants after awhile...:) so very sore and tired now...

Very chilly ride (why do my toes always freeze??) on the gravel roads for the first bit, then into palgrave ST for the second half. Great tough work in there :)
