GGP Open. Warmed up with Matt who suggested starting slowly and feeling my way to my hamstring's limit. Started in 60th or so and creeped past people on the inside of the polo field during that loop. Kicked up the steep hill and said goodbye to the WV group I'd been tailing. Irwin came flying past on the way down JFK, so I opened a bit to keep with him, but hammie didn't like it, so I let him go and promptly came past him when it wasn't downhill. Tried to work a little harder on the polo field in the last mile and held off half a dozen in a sprint finish. 31st, 20:58 for the 6.1k. I'm fine with this - I could have been faster; ideally I would have been a minute faster, but given how I felt before racing...
Back to AP since I keep accidentally using Katie's watch so Strava is a mess.
Long shoreline loop, in the 80s today. The bay really, really stinks at the minute, not even the egrets can stand it. Hamstring and hambutt are still niggling.

Katie and I took Matt to Yoga Tree Castro. Mark was off, alas. Replacement was staid. Had beer and mofongo as recompense and tried matt's fancy massage trousers!
