orienteering 1:01:00 [5] 7.7 km (7:55 / km) +175m 7:07 / km
shoes: x-talons 2

JK long (7.7 straight line)
trying to redeem myself from ydays race..
made it to the start nice n on time so it was all going well. first few fine, ibuprofen kicked in around #2 so that was great too. had picked up 3 people by #4 and picked up another 2 by #8 so I was trying to push on to lose them but I seem to struggle as soon as I have some others running with me and it just started getting scrappy. time losses went something like this...#5 (1.30), #7(2.30), #15 (3mins) and #18 (1.20/30). Rest were okay. Was pretty gutted when I came in, not a great run. got me 3rd though which I was surprised to hear!

consiiiiidering the absolutely shocking winter I've had, and just starting my training up again in march... I coulda been a whole lot worse fitness-wise, soooo I'm pleased my knee held up and lasted me the weekend and that I managed to get a good sprint and a non-disastrous long

running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

orienteering 40:53 [5] 5.5 km (7:26 / km) +105m 6:47 / km
shoes: x-talons 2

JK Middle
not. good. ballsed up the first 3 controls completely, redefining headless chicken. by #3 i had lost 7 mins (aaaghh!!!) in a group after #1 and slowly dropped them all as I got the rest of the controls pretty fine, but Carrie was ahead of me for the 2nd half and I was really trying to overtake her but she was just going that little bit faster than me. eventually overtook her towards the end. glad the rest of the race was clean after the mess at the start, but the damage had already been done... bummerrrr

running 15:00 [3] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: x-talons 2

whistle probz/general being me probz and had to absolutely peg it to the start, made it with 2 mins to spare and had to lie down. least ideal thing ever. slightly OH so slightly stressful. didn't help that it was also a v.hilly route! aaahh

shoes: x-talons 2

birrrrrrthdaaay #old #old #iamOLD
also jk sprint but thats not as fun as my bday. but it was up there on the fun scale. pleased with my run as i was sooo nervous before starting, even my athletics coach had turned up to the event to see what all the fuss was about!
was pretty clean, just time loss on #6, #9 and #23 (it looked like you could get round the bottom? but there was a gate, so had to go back on myself). and I didn't realise you could go through the hedges in the garden bit bcos i am a mong so thats why 6 took me so long #round #not #sound
but I was working hard the whole way and finished in 2nd so was happy :D #happybdaytome

running warm up/down 15:00 [1]
