JK relay- 1st leg Womens Trophy
really wanted to run and my ankle had improved since last night- just taped it lots, good to go. didn't have a great time tbh, don't think the courses were gaffled that well, especially in the urban section there was just such a traaain and major queuing to punch controls gaahhh.. was chilling towards the back of the front group, then went to a wrong #8 and lost most ppl, cool. spent the rest of the course trying to catch up everyone. also got headbutted by Tim Tett at the spectator, head was legit spinning. Also just kept falling over aall the time, what is wrong with me?! finished ~ 2mins down i think, then Jenny & Shallot both did awesome and we came 2nd aha amazing #beasts

JK long- started out steady and pretty clean again, was actually enjoying it SO much. absolutely loved the long leg, went flying off down the hill, felt so faaaast! (but then obv the climb on the other side was not so fun). Hadn't really made a plan of what to go off for #6 and wasted over 2mins finding like 3 other controls in pits etc before my own... ideal. but then at #7 I overtook my 3min girl ahead, tried not to get distracted, was okay for the next few but twisted my ankle coming down the hill to #10:( so just tried to steadily jog/run it off & carry on. So I was a bit slow for the next few, then messed up #12. Tried to get my act together, but then the hail of hell let loose and in my panic to try and find #13 I went over on my ankle again which was really not ideal:( eventually found 13 but I was really struggling on any uneven ground and decided that realistically, hobbling around the rest of the course was not a great idea so slowly made my way down the track, absolutely fucking freezing. bit of a shame because I was loooooving the area, so nice!!

JK middle- better than yesterday anyway
started out steady, no mistakes. then caught Rona at #9 and immediately got distracted and made an absolute hash of #11 despite thinking oh this one looks easy.. famous last words. lost 1min there and then another min on #13 - stopped way too soon and was too low down... but then the last section was clean and struggled up the hill to #19 as I had just seen Rona ahead again and tried to chase her down on the track to the finish.
surprised to come 8th!

JK sprint aka 10/10absolutemare.com.
just never got into it at all, and so many mistakes, kept having to stop because I hadn't planned ahead and was making some horrible route choices! Ran up the massive steps that was a dead end even though I knew not to run up them??!? #sound. then was on the wrong level for 6.. had to run all the way back round #cool. everything was just so stop & start and i had basically given up... wasn't even tired from running at all...!
the one good thing was I saw my dog like immediately after I finished, so I was only rag for like 10seconds and then I was happy
