Run with Jacob and Shallot in Namadgi national park out to Square rock! the whole run was on a really fun trail through the forest and then you got to the end with amazing views out over the valley.. we were feeling pretty tired from yday and almost decided not to go.. but it was totally worth it!!! :D :D The rocks at the end were just GIANT!
unfortunately shallot twisted her ankle on the way back:(:( plus my L knee is v sore when hyperflexing it.. its the same place where i hit it on a rock on the long race... so not sure if all the mountain biking made it worse, or its something else..

yes this happened. 5hrs on a mountain bike..... (WHAT). my bum hurts. anyway Paul Sutherland (an adventure racer and absolute machine) plus his friend took me, shallot and Jacob mountain biking which was quite brave seeing as i had never done it before in my life!! we went along a super hilly (1200m climb in total) ridge from Mt Stromlo. the descents were quite terrifying and the uphills were so steep, even Paul had to walk so that made me feel better lol. We then came back along a single track along by the river, which was a lot more rocky and muddy and tricky. I was absolutely dying at around 4hrs or so... struggle was real! But had some more food and felt a bit better after. Arrived back at mt stromlo after about 5hr30 & 63km absolutely plastered in mud and totally knackered, but was really really fun and an awesome day out!!!! cheerz paul u nutter
