X-C Skiing warm up/down (Skating) 35:00 [1]

X-C Skiing race (Skating) 1:34:05 [3] ** 15.0 km (6:16 / km)
spiked:15/18c

Ski-o at Soverign Lake, Vernon
Got a bit mixed up with the intricate trails near #3.
Accidentally went to #16 after #7 (hehe) but quickly realized when I got there and proceeded to #8.
Had to circle the building before I found #18 in the most obvious spot.

Orienteering in the Forest 40:00 [2] ****
shoes: Vasque

Orienteering with Meghan and Louise where we alternated leading the group to the next control. On my first leg I led everyone through a patch of burrs and trying to get out of the burrs we ended up in a patch of prickly bushes.
After orienteering we went back to the house for desert to celebrate Louise and my birthdays, Happy Birthday Louise!

shoes: Vasque

The event was on 2 maps, the Elbow park map and a google satellite hybrid map. There was a triangle in between the two maps where there wasnt any map so you had to guess a bit. I hesitated during this part comming back onto the google map because there was a good 5 or 6 blocks not on the map and I really didnt want to end up in some cul de sac area with no way out. It actually turned out to be real easy so some time was wasted here.

X-C Skiing (Skating) 1:30:00 [2] 12.5 km (7:12 / km)

Skied at the Canmore Nordic Centre, took the flater "Banff Trail" to the far end and a more hilly trail back because I thought I had lots of energy but kinda died half way back, so much so that I resorted to doing coach's skate up one of the hills, which i normally wouldnt be caught dead doing :) .

X-C Skiing (Classic) 35:00 [2] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)

Went out again in the afternoon for a quick classic ski out to the end of the big meadow and back.
