Note

Today was the sadest and the happiest day of the month.

:( Because my Boreno Trip was cancelled, I was so looking forward to it. No exploring of the jungle with monkeys and elephants for me :(

:) because yay! i found out I scored 102% on my remote sensing final!! thank you bonus question

Although i would have rather scored 25% less and gone to boreno because grades are insignificant to the rest of my life, but on the bright side I can now try out for the WOC team.

UofC circuit 33:00 [1]

Tried the strength/running circuit at school today.

There's 12 stations (biceps, triceps, squats, leg curls, leg press, core exercises, pull ups, etc.) you do a station for 30 sec then do some biking for 30sec to keep your heart rate up, then the next station etc.

I ran for 1 min in between stations instead of 30 sec because that's how long it took to jog around the track, and 30 sec at each station seems way to short to be of any benefit (especially the core station, 30sec of crunchies just doesnt cut it), so next time i think I'll try 1 min intervals instead of the 30sec. Or maybe i'm supposed to do the circuit 2 or three times, it wasnt quite clear.

Started at edworthy park ran around the river to the crowchild bridge and along the douglas fir trail.

DFT (west-east): 18:10 - not a bad time but could have shaved off about minute if i had been wearing spikes as some of the stairs were covered with a 5cm thick sheet of ice.

On the stationary bike studying until I couldn't take in anymore facts into my brain.

The olympic oval was closed and I hate running on the 200m track so I ran outside in shorts and a t-shirt until I got too cold. Did some obstacle running interspersed in the run.
