Managed a pretty good goof-up but still enjoyed the event. Bit chaotic around the start but Tony got us away early so that helped. Get all 23 controls he said so off I went after belatedly folding my map onto the board and mounting the trusty stead. Basically counter clockwise which conformed with the instructions re Marine Parade but into a stinking SW breeze. Coming up to my "last" control and thought I've still got a lot of blanks in the first row!!!! Turned out I had folded the map so that the 3 NE controls were hidden under my compass - duhh. So another small counter clockwise loop and back through the ballet dancers (pushing my bike - they didn't seem too well trained) just in time for the presentations. MetrO on the bike is good fun :-)

Warm morning and some random comings and goings by the crew but we eventually got underway from Burswood to Garvey Park via the western side of the river to Guildford. Novel route incorporating paths we've used many times before, but not in this combination, plus a new bit of path alongside the river south of Guildford (on the east side). Moreen had a bit of a faint spell at Guildford but recovered after refreshments there and rejoined us at Garvey Park. My trace is incomplete as usual, not having restarted my watch for a while after a quick visit to my aged aunt in Bassendean.

Straightforward run from Garvey Park back to Burswood beside the river. No mishaps or medical dramas but it was getting very warm by the end of the ride.
