Orienteering race (MetrO Rockingham) 1:16:14 [2] 7.01 km (10:52 / km)
shoes: Merrell Continuum

As tRicky foreshadowed, a much longer hit out, made tougher by the howling SW wind coming through. He also achieved his presumed goal of making me recount the number of controls I needed after every one - the clusters at the southern and northern ends of the map made for a lot of choices and I was constantly rechecking. Not the most enjoyable event ever but the bush and the lake made it much nicer than suburbia.

Cycling (FROGs ride out) 1:35:28 [2] 18.25 km (5:14 / km) +126m 5:03 / km
shoes: Giant Anthem 2 XL 2019

A ramble through the leafy western suburbs from Dodd Street to Cottesloe with some creative route choices along the way. Bit of a slog past Reabold Hill but otherwise a very pleasant ride. Joined by LOST_Richard near the rifle range, just in time for the real surprise. Waiting at the lights at the SAS entrance when we cop a short burst of police siren - lots of frantic looking around to see what we were doing wrong then spotted the paddy wagon with PC Poppy at the wheel, waving and laughing her head off :-). Pretty uneventful after that!
10 AM

Cycling (FROGs ride back) 1:03:01 [2] 14.5 km (4:21 / km) +79m 4:14 / km
shoes: Giant Anthem 2 XL 2019

Shorter route back via Perry Lakes and south of Herdsman - no dramas and a pleasant outing all up in the cooler conditions.
