Trail Run long (Long run) 1:30:00 [4] 7.0 mi (12:51 / mi)

Today’s run went much better than I had hoped. I’m back to wearing trail shoes so that when I wear the road shoes, they’ll seem like racing flats. This loop always takes at least 90+ minutes. I finished in 84 minutes which included a short time on the ground and then cleaning up. I’m not sure how I cut so much time off. I did start out fast and it’s cooler but that shouldn’t have been enough.

Hope you’re fully unpacked and feeling at home. I’m betting Lucinda has a friend soon. By the way, I’ve always loved your pet names.
COVID cases are surging so our daughter is working lots of hours and we have the kids. We’re taking them on our trip to San Angelo to see our other grandkids. They have a football championship on Friday (kindergarten vs 1st grade) and then a karate tournament on Saturday. I’ll do my long run on Friday before we go. We usually try to ride while there but not this time.
I bought another piece of equipment for my weight room. My goal is to keep up weight lifting. My hope is that it is helping. My thoughts are that the cooler temps are helping but I have to keep injury free.
