Trail Run long (Weekly long) 2:58:00 [4] 15.0 mi (11:52 / mi)

Run started really good. After yesterday's run, I had expected to be sluggish but I felt good. Once again at the 15 min mark, my back started to hurt. Today I used Advil and it worked much better than Tylenol. It wore off with 2 min to go. I finished this run 3 min faster than last week which feels good.

I took today off because our oldest daughter came town w her kids. I started while it was still dark. At the 15 min mark, a back muscle started spasming. Over the past 2 weeks it's been getting worse. Tylenol helped some, but started wearing off at 90 min. I finished easily enough by rearranging my water pack and stride.

This was a nice run. The trail was officially closed so it was very quiet and peaceful.

Treadmill intervals (Combo interval/hill) 1:01:00 [4] 5.8 mi (10:31 / mi)

Not a great run. I tried it in the morning but only ran 5 minutes. My back was so stiff, I just couldn't do much. By the evening it had loosened up for the most part. It started hurting again during the 2nd interval. Because I take shorter steps during the hill portion, it got better.

The 5% incline was tough. I was feeling it at the end.
