Hiked several miles of trail that my husband and team have built. They are really nice. I'm going to help him set up a short low key beginners trail race to introduce the trails.
Concrete/road run long (Long run) 3:09:00 [4] 15.0 mi (12:36 / mi)
Not a great run. I picked some long hilly roads and included some rails to trail. The first hour was fine but it slowed down from there. The last 2 miles were mostly walking; my knee kept giving out. It does that when there is swelling below the bottom of the knee cap.
By the end of the day, it looked like the swelling is generally gone.
Concrete/road run tempo (Marathon pace) 1:00:00 [4] 5.65 mi (10:37 / mi)
I put this run on Friday to give it the best chance. It worked pretty well. Miles 3 to 5 were the best. I was able to open my stride and was able to go faster, with the muscles being a bit stiff.
Trail Run (Easy run) 50:00 [3] 4.5 mi (11:07 / mi)
Running a trail that has been closed for over 2 years. I'm riding it tomorrow with friends and doing the recon tonight. It's a good thing too, I got stuck on several loops that haven't been cleaned up. After the run, I did another 30 plus minute hike trying to check it all out.
