Lower body. Really trying to work on my legs for the downhill race.

I've discovered something. At times when I run, my hands feel really sticky, as if I've gotten gel on them. Yesterday it was really bad, to the point they stuck to my steering wheel. And because my hands are sensitive, I hate it. After researching it, I found it was due to low blood sugar and heat. Now maybe I can do something more than just keep wetting them.

I think it's time to renew my contract. I'm up for another year, if you are. I will need to take a week off from 7.31 to 8.6. I'll be watching my grandsons in ND. Our son and his wife are riding mountain bikes across the mountains at the Canadian border. Since she still hasn't ridden on trails with sticks and thingys. I'm not sure how that will work for them, but I'm guessing they won't come back early.

I'm going to call this a success. The first hour was great. I had a lot of fun pushing the downhills and was running well. At the hour mark, my back started hurting. I kept working on it, but after 30 minutes I had tried everything and took an Advil. Within just a few minutes, I overheated. I wasn't even able to remember my address so I kept going but very slowly. I stopped and cooled down in a stream and eventually felt better. At 2 hours I was back to normal. At 2:50, it happened again. Fortunately I was near my car, the problem was, I thought I was further out. When I stumbled upon it I was pleasantly surprised but decided I needed to stop and refocus my energy.

I finally got back on my bike. It keeps raining here and the trail was like fly paper and mud. But still it was a ride.

This was a solid run. I did the hills about every 8 or 9 minutes, so that I could do a cool down. It took me about 4 minutes to get up to speed.
