Concrete/road run race (1/2 marathon) 3:20:00 [4] 13.1 mi (15:16 / mi)

I’m guessing on the time but it should be close. My brother had done so much walking here and such limited training, my focus was to just get him across the finish line. We did good for the first half but then walked almost the entire 2nd half. He had calf cramps that just wouldn’t release. I think he had a good time though.
I’ve dropped out of the 24 hour race and during the next few weeks I’ll send my 2018 race schedule. Even before I got sick, I decided to focus on quality races this year and keep them spread out more. 3 marathon and longer races in 2 months seems to have been a bit much. I just have to recover more fully between them. This time it was another respiratory infection. I actually used my inhaler 3 times today and still had an asthma attack in the first few minutes. There is just so much smoke around here, it is unbelievable.
I’m sorry to hear that your wife may be developing it. The cough is generally the first symptom for most people. But maybe it won’t progress. I had this same respiratory infection 6+ years ago and it permanently damaged my lungs, so mine isn’t typical.
I hope you got your fence in before the first snow. Will there be snow on the ground until next spring or will it come and go. If memory serves me, it will be there until Spring break up.

Concrete/road run race (5 k ) 38:00 [4] 3.1 mi (12:15 / mi)

This was my first run all week. I’ve been sick again. I started not feeling well on last Sunday evening and decided that I’d ridden harder than I thought. I only worked 2 partial days last week and I’m still not completely over it.
