Treadmill tempo (Medium hard effort) 51:00 [4] 5.0 mi (10:12 / mi)

This run didn’t go as planned. At 30 min, my foot started to burn. I took 30 min to roll out my calf and then I started again. It started to hurt again at 20 min, so I quit for good. I think it got worse when I got tired.

Mountain bike ride (Mtn bike ride) 1:00:00 [3]

It was a beautiful day. I also thought it would be good therapy for my Achilles’ tendon. I think it helped some.

Hope everything is going well. January has flown by. I’ve gotten registered for all my races except the IL race. The 50 miler is actually Dec 8th.
The flu is going strong here. I’ve had 2 friends hospitalized with pneumonia. I guess I was lucky. We’re getting to the gym most mornings, I may try to add swimming.

This was a good run. Only two very short walking points, both up long rutted climbs. I finished the main loop almost 10 min faster than usual. At the very end, my Achilles’ tendon started hurting again. I spent the rest of the day resting it.

This was a peaceful night run. My schedule called for the tempo run but I was a bit tired and wanted to be able to give it my all.

This went better than I thought. I ended doing 30 min on/off. I miscalculated the numbers and didn’t notice until the end. I had to cut short the cool down.

I did 18 min flat, 30min hill walking (2 laps EKG) and finished run.
