Concrete/road run tempo (Hard run) 1:05:00 [4] 6.0 mi (10:50 / mi)

This run didn’t feel good but when I looked at the numbers, it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I felt like I yo-yo’d but the range wasn’t as bad as I thought. My legs were achy from yesterday. That’s why I keep wearing Hokas.

My goal was to do the walk later tonight but I just didn’t have the energy. I’m going to try for early tomorrow am. I’m really dreading next week. 65 hours this past week was just too much. I hoping I don’t have to repeat it.

I’m definitely doing the Tinejas race on March 2nd. I registered and have the time off. My husband and I will make a weekend of it. This looks like a tough trail and I’ve been a bit anxious about it, but I’m in now.

Hope you’re surviving winter, your warm days are about the same as our cold ones. Sorry about the knee surgery. Hopefully you’ll be good for your climbing trip.

Trail Run long (Push down, hike up) 2:42:00 [4] 14.0 mi (11:34 / mi)

I enjoyed the run. I had to quit early. Mostly it was because of time, but it started to rain as I got back to my car. So it was good timing. I really enjoy pushing the downhills. I wore some nimble shoes and they felt great. It’s quite different than my usual. First hour felt great. As I got tired, I really worked on keeping cadence rather than extending my stride.

Concrete/road run (Recovery) 58:00 [3] 5.0 mi (11:36 / mi)

Super cold morning run. Temp in the mid 20’s. I had to watch for the ice. In Texas, we water year round. I did go slow in the beginning trying to get my face cover and hands warm, but then it went fine.

Treadmill hills (Min on/off) 55:00 [4] 5.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

Run was ok. I’ve had several days off but I’ve been working 14 hour days. Today was the first time I got home before 7. We have a $10B deal that is having problems and my team has been tasked w helping. Tough job.
The run went fine. There were 2 min off that got one click slower on accident. That made all the difference.
