Trail Run (Recovery) 55:00 [3] 5.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

This was a good run. The trail was cleaned up from Friday’s run and I felt good. In fact after just a few minutes, I was able to relax because I was pain free. I need to wear my Hokas on trail more often. My knees really appreciated it.

Trail Run long (Long, steady) 1:45:00 [4] 8.5 mi (12:21 / mi)

This run was supposed to be on flat road. I started on a concrete path but my knees were so tender, I decided to drop onto the dirt trail. After a few minutes of changing my stride, I started to feel better. I had a few more bad spells but the trail was still a bit soft from Wednesday’s rain and it was much better.

Concrete/road run hills (3 sets of intervals) 51:00 [4] 4.85 mi (10:31 / mi)

Pretty good run. The speed portion went very well. Each one got faster. All of them were less than 10 min pace. I did have some incidents with my left knee giving out during the easy portions. That generally happens when it is swollen. I do wish I’d taken my inhaler. I feel like I could have done better.

Trail Run long (Long rolling) 1:31:00 [4] 8.5 mi (10:42 / mi)

Heat training is so much fun. Since I forgot my inhaler this morning, I had no problem using it before this run. Air quality was Red so it helped. It was an ok run. The trail was full of debris from flooding. There was even a jet ski

Treadmill hills (Hill walk) 31:00 [4] 2.1 mi (14:46 / mi)

The walk was as usual. This was supposed to be a run but during the 15 min drive between work and the trail, a torrential rain storm hit. It was so bad I had trouble finding the right road. I did think about it but lighting does frighten me some.

Between traveling and other things,I’ve been under the weather for the first part of the week.
