Treadmill hills (Various hills) 1:00:00 [4] 5.3 mi (11:19 / mi)

Did 6 hills ranging from 2% to 6% and from 45 seconds to 1:30. I did one of them as a combo with 6% for 30 and 2% for 1 min.

I hope your mtn bike race went well. Racing at a ski resort would be tough.

The race schedule you have is accurate but is now tentative. My Mother was just diagnosed with colon cancer. She still needs one more CT scan before her surgery will be scheduled. Once she meets with the surgeon, we will know more. Our youngest daughter and I can both work short term remotely so we will take turns. My brother and his wife live close by, as well. We’re just not sure what the entire course of her treatment will be.

Trail Run long ( Negative split) 2:02:00 [4] 10.5 mi (11:37 / mi)

I had a good negative split. First loop was 1:03:35 and the second loop was 59 minutes. And considering the temp went from 80 to 95 degrees during the 2 hours. I pushed very hard during the second loop and was spent when I ended.

I pushed hard and still didn’t break my previous record.

Thursday Jul 25 #

Concrete/road run tempo (Tempo) 50:00 [4] 4.6 mi (10:52 / mi)

This was a tough but good run even though I had one modification. First mile was 9:55 and second was 9:43. I did take a short break between the miles because I had a coughing fit and had to stop running. I took my inhaler about 45 min before I started but we have red air quality right now. I had also started the tempo portion and had to stop and restart because of coughing fit.

Rolling hilly trail. This was a decent run. The temp was only 92 which isn’t bad for July.
